Finally sharing another look I wore during our Kauai vacation a few weeks ago. Can you tell I’m wearing a bathing suit underneath this dress? Hahaha. We were headed to the kid beach at Lydgate Park in Kapaa on this particular day. I wore this look  during the earlier part of the day while we shopped and explored Kauai. Then as beach cover up with vegan leather sandals a low bun and oversized sunglasses (see last two photos) while we were at the beach. Snakeskin print can be so versatile and this style of dress can be worn and styled many different ways so for under $50, it’s an excellent buy. This dress is almost sold out but I linked a few other similar styles that are totally worth it for their versatility and comfort.

I got a lot of questions about these wedges and my hat. First, my shoes are made of vegan leather and are under $100. They’re pretty comfortable for walking around in all day and the cork wedge makes is perfect for spring and summer outfits. Now for my hat, I’ve had it for years and it’s a super popular style so it’s still current. It comes in a few different colors, I have both the white and the natural color. I love the extra large brim; perfect for protecting your delicate skin from the shoulders up as you lay on the beach for hours. You may wonder how you’d pack such a large hat for travel but this one you can fold up pretty easily and it springs back up once its unpacked. You can also use this travel hat box. I also highly recommend this travel box for storing and protecting multiple sunglasses and jewelry.

This snake print dress is one of my favorite recent purchases. I’ve been telling you guys for a little while now that animal prints are going to be a huge spring/summer trend. This dress is a great piece to add to your wardrobe to be right on trend. I LOVE a versatile piece. The snake print makes it pretty neutral so you can wear it with just about any shoe. It’s still a bit cold here in Las Vegas, so I’m planning on wearing it with tights and over the knee boots. It can also be paired with booties and a cute hat, or sandal and belted at the waist for summertime. I also really love that it buttons all the way down which means that you can also wear it open like a bathing suit coverup.

Moving right along to this oversized extra large wide brim hat which I’m totally obsessed with. I love this piece because it instantly elevates your beach style. I’ve had this hat for years, since like, 2014. Quick story, back in the summer of ’14, I was coming back from a trip to Mexico. I was driving into Las Vegas and called Marc (my baby’s dad) asking him to meet my family and me for lunch. He said he was busy working; it was Memorial Day weekend. It was a little annoyed that he preferred to work instead of meeting up with us but this was typical of him so I said I’d see him later at home. When I got home, he told me that when I called him earlier, he was in the middle of auctioning off a website he’d been working on for the past six months. While we were having lunch, he sold his site, for quite a bit of money too! He decided to celebrate by taking us to Hawaii. This hat was the first thing I bought for that trip, so it holds quite a bit of nostalgia for me.  I don’t think I’ll ever get rid of it.

If you haven’t already heard, animal prints are going to be a BIG trend for Spring 2019. We’ve already seen a lot of animal print, mostly leopard, carrying over from fall of 2018 but it’s going to be even bigger and better come spring. I absolutely love animal prints so I can’t wait to really get crazy with it come spring. My leopard coat sold out during Norstrom’s anniversary sale last July but I linked a couple similar ones above.

Animal Print Dress & Over the Knee Boots

Dress: Rebecca Minkoff | Boots: Steve Madden | Bag: Target | Tights: Revolve | Lipstick: Nars (in Damned)

We’ve had some kooky weather here in Las Vegas this past month. It’s mostly been warm with a few super cold days sprinkled in. We shot this look on one of those cold days when the temperature fell below 75. Last time I shared this dress, it was a warm weather look and here it is again completely restyled for cool weather. My boots are from last year but they’re back this year! I love them because they stretch and stay up really well (they also come in brown). Also, these over the knee boots are perfect for wide calves.

On another note, tomorrow is Halloween! Wow, the year has really flown by! Athena is almost 8 months old. I can’t believe she’s already going to experience her first Halloween. Seeing her in that chicken costume almost made me tear up. But looking at her adorable little face in that costume made me realize how quickly she’s growing up and that I need to treasure every single day with her. We did two costumes this year because we couldn’t decide on just one. In case you missed it, Athena and I dressed up as black cats in my last post. We haven’t decided which costumes we’ll use for tomorrow’s festivities but one thing is for sure, you’ll see it on my Instagram, lol. Have a safe and happy Halloween, everyone!
