Did you know there are tons of vegan leather handbags available from mainstream designers? My tote bag is from Steve Madden! This one is sold out but I linked a similar one. I’m so happy to see so many vegan fashion brands popping up all over the world. However, they’re still a bit difficult to find, especially if you don’t know where to look. I’m going to be introducing a whole lot of these brands here soon but in the meantime, you can find lots of vegan handbags and faux leather shoes from brands like Steve Madden and Forever 21. Even Topshop has cute vegan pieces. My sweater looks like it’s wool and it’s super warm but it’s 100% wool-free, which means it’s also cruelty-free, yay! Let me know in the comments what vegan and cruelty-free pieces you’d like to see and I’ll add them to my list to share soon. Also, make sure to sign up for my newsletter for updates on fresh new vegan fashion brands and giveaways!
I’m channeling my inner Olivia Newton John in these faux leather leggings. Her outfit in the last scene of Grease is still on of my favorites to this day. She just looks so damn cool and that’s just how these leggings make you feel. These faux leather leggings are by Spanx and they’re quite comfortable; it kind of just feels like I’m wearing yoga pants. I love the faux leather look of these, they’re the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe. I love how high they come up on the waist and they stay there! They smooth you out and I swear they go with just about everything. Completely obsessed with these!
Boy do I have some seriously awesome finds for you guys today! First up, this v-neck tee is oh so soft and perfect for everyday! It comes in 6 colors (I bought it in four). I love the sleeve length, it’s about an inch longer than your standard short sleeve tee. It’s got a drapey fit in the torso which makes is great for tucking into jeans. I also love the raw edge detail of the neckline. I’m wearing a size medium here. Almost forgot the best part, this t shirt is only $17!!! I was never a t-shirt and jeans kinda gal until just recently. I always found the pairing a bit too simplistic but now that I have a baby, jeans and a tee are my go-to for everyday outfits. But it’s not only about practicality and comfort, I also really enjoy elevating a simple look by adding a pair of heels or some cute accessories. And now, I’m kind of obsessed with t shirts. I’m constantly on the hunt for more but that sleeve’s got to be right.
Next up are these super versatile, faux-suede, block-heel, nude sandals. I’ve been seeing this style everywhere and rightly so because they seem to go well with just about everything. I been wanting a pair for a while now but each one I found had real leather so I passed on them. Then I came across these at Target and they’re IDENTICAL to other, much more expensive, options so I quickly snagged them. These were the last pair and I haven’t seen them in stores again but they’re still available online and they come in black too. Best part, they’re under $30!
The last thing I want to mention is my necklace. It’s a 14k gold nameplate necklace made by Love Always XO Designs. I LOVE her shop! It’s full of so many pretty necklaces, all of which can be customized. I got this 14k gold nameplate necklace engraved with my baby’s birthday in roman numerals. I absolutely love it! If you’re interested in getting one for yourself (or as a gift), use code “BC2017” for 30% off your total purchase.
Ok, one last, last thing. My jeans are on sale again! I’ve talked about these jeans a few times before because they’re one of my favorite pairs ever. They fit really well at the waist without being too tight in the thigh area. And I really like the distressed look and ankle-zipper details. They’re seriously so comfy and they’re 30% off right now!
This is one of my go-to outfits: drawstring bottoms with a tank top and a comfy sandal. This time I opted for all black to make a casual but put-together outfit and a lightweight top to protect my skin from the sun. These James Perse tank tops are the best, they come in a bunch of different colors, they’re soft, stretchy, and they last forever. I’ve had some for over 4 years now.
I’ve been searching for the perfect denim jacket forever and I finally found it! The best part, it’s under $40! Woot! It has a little bit of stretch, which I love and need (chubby arms, lol). I’ve been wearing it so much and I love how versatile it is! It’s super comfortable too and the material is perfect. It’s a soft and breathable cotton with a good weight to it— love it! If you follow me on Instagram, take a peek at my Instastories, throughout the week I’ll be sharing different ways to wear it. Happy Humpday everyone!
These reversible totes are on sale for $20! They come in the prettiest colors and the wristlet is included. The size is quite large and they are really well made. My favorite part about these is that they are vegan leather which means they are cruelty-free! Perfect for pairing with casual summer dresses and weekend outfits. Get them while they last. See my Instagram to see how I styled mine.
As I was putting together this post I realized this is the first time I’m wearing any sort of flat shoe for an outfit post! And these sandals are ancient. I bought them on a trip to Puerto Vallarta almost a decade ago! They’re so well made and comfortable that it’s only fitting these be the first flat shoe featured on my blog, lol. As glorious as these sandals are, the spotlight has to go to this Rachel Pally yellow ruffle “Lita” dress. I love it! It’s so comfortable, light, and airy—all of the attributes you NEED for a summer dress in the Las Vegas desert. The soft, stretchy modal jersey keeps you cool in the sun and the ruffles are just the best detail. I love the way this dress moves as you walk; it’s so pretty! We had a wind storm (typical) the day we shot this so I ended up standing between two pillars to block the wind just to be able to get a few decent pics.
I have to confess, the main reason I bought this dress was for easier breastfeeding. I’m still getting used to this tricky practice. Some days I leave the house in a crew neck t-shirt and when it comes time to feed my baby I realize how inconvenient my wardrobe choice was. For this reason, I’ve been on the hunt for more breastfeeding-friendly clothing options and this fits under that category as well as under the “will not make you pass out from heat stroke in the desert sun” category.
We’re still in Utah and it’s been pretty chilly the past few days. I was looking forward to the cooler weather so I packed these over the knee boots and this cozy, knit cardigan. You guys, these boots are THE best. If you’re like me and have a really hard time finding over-the-knee boots because you have gigantic calves, then these are the boots for you. They stretch a lot but aren’t loose at the top and the half zipper on the back makes them super easy to put on. These are hands down my favorite boots. I also love the thick heel, they give you a little more support and makes them quite comfortable.
I look like I’m ready to pop, don’t I? That’s because I am! Baby should be here in about a week if she decides to stick to the schedule. Pregnancy leggings have become the go-to article of clothing for everyday wear. So much so in fact, that I had to throw out a pair yesterday after I noticed the seams starting to come apart at the groin. I wonder how long I had been wearing them like that before I finally noticed. I wonder if anyone else noticed- oops! Luckily I have plenty of stretchy dresses to get me through the rest of this pregnancy. This particular one is so comfy and super stretchy. It’s sold out but I linked to a similar one above.
I recently discovered Pink Blush maternity dresses via Instagram and it could not have been at a more opportune time. I’ve had the same black leggings on rotation for about 3 weeks now, and while they’re currently one of my favorite bottoms to wear, I was craving some change. But finding stylish and comfortable clothes for a third-trimester pregnant belly is no easy task. If you are or have ever been pregnant, you know the struggle is real.
So naturally, when I was offered the opportunity to review an item from the Pink Blush website I was ecstatic. I probably spent a good 90 minutes trying to decide what to pick— there are SO MANY stylish options! Side note, one feature I really like about shopping on their website is that you can see what the item looks like both on a pregnant belly and a non-pregnant belly, love that! I finally decided to go with this striped maternity dress with plaid cuffs. It’s so soft and comfortable and I love the contrasting plaid cuffs but my favorite part– it has pockets! The midi length, three-quarter sleeve, and lightweight rayon fabric make this a perfect perennial piece; I can’t wait to style it for summer!
