Top 5 Best Natural & Vegan Face Moisturizers

Face moisturizers are something we use daily so it’s important to have a good one. By that, I mean one that works well for your skin and is made with natural non-toxic ingredients. After all, you don’t want to put nasty chemicals on your skin on the daily when you absolutely don’t have to, right? Living in Las Vegas for many years, I’ve gone through my fair share of moisturizers. Since going vegan three years ago, I’ve tried at least 2 dozen kinds from face oils to creams and gels. I won’t keep you waiting, here are my top 5 favorite natural and vegan face moisturizers.

1. Esme Organics Brilliant Baobab Anti-Aging Moisture-Locking Oil

Full disclosure, this moisturizing face oil is from my own brand of skincare products. It’s the first on my list because it’s vegan, organic, cruelty-free, and all-natural. I like simple ingredients that work and are easy to read and understand. That’s why I created this vegan moisturizer. The ingredient list is only 3 ingredients long: organic baobab oil, organic sweet almond oil, and organic sweet orange oil.

I use this vegan moisturizer every day in the morning under my makeup and before bed after cleansing. Baobab oil is excellent at locking moisture into the skin. It’s also lightweight and quick-absorbing so it won’t sit on top of your skin or leave it greasy. I also love it because it’s high in omega 6 which helps diminish blemishes and improves oil gland function, meaning it’ll help keep pimples away by keeping pores clear! This formula is lightly scented with sweet orange oil, great for creating an uplifting mood each morning. You can purchase Esme Organics Brilliant Baobab Anti-Aging Moisture-Locking Oil here.

2. Andalou 1,000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream

Aloe vera, pomegranate, white tea, and roses are just some of the botanical ingredients in this creamy formula. I love this day cream for two reasons: it contains lots of organic, natural ingredients and it smells divine! The creamy formula really moisturizes the skin but I don’t feel like it lasts all day, especially in extremely dry weather like we get in Las Vegas. However, if you live in a less dry climate, Andalou’s 1,000 roses day cream may work very well for you. I still use their 1,000 roses body lotion daily, I really like the whole 1,000 roses line, they smell like real roses and are not scented too heavily. You can shop Andalou 1,000 Roses Beautiful Day Cream here.

Kalos After Hours Soothing Night Cream

3. Kalos After Hours Soothing Night Cream

If a heavy-duty moisturizer is what you’re looking for, I highly recommend Kalos After Hours Soothing Night Cream. It’s super thick, creamy, and really moisturizes dry skin overnight. I like to use this one whenever I feel like my skin needs a bit more help with moisture. We lived in Utah during the winter this past November through January and the dry, frigid winter air was really harsh on my skin. During that time I used this vegan night cream about 3 times a week. I layered it over the Brilliant Baobab by Esme Organics and it kept my skin super soft and supple. You can purchase Kalos After Hours Soothing Night Cream here.

Dermae Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer

4. Derma E Vitamin C Renewing Moisturizer

Dermae is one of the first vegan skincare brands I ever used. Their vegan vitamin c moisturizer is one of my favorites from the brand. It has skin brightening properties and helps boost collagen. I love that it contains a number of natural ingredients including sweet almond oil, rooibos, and green tea. The formula is lightweight and absorbs quickly. It’s lightly scented and sits well under makeup.

5. OSEA Atmosphere Protection Cream

If you’re looking for a lightweight moisturizer that’s unscented, this is one of the best I’ve tried. Loaded with botanical ingredients like algae, chamomile, lavender, and geranium, this vegan moisturizer performs well. It’s creamy but lightweight and absorbs into the skin rather quickly. You can purchase OSEA Atmosphere Protection Cream here.
